Oh Well, Maybe Next Time.

I've wanted to speak at a conference for a while now, so I figured why not give Laracon a shot and apply?

They wanted STRONG and HIGHLY Technical talks to be submitted. Which set off ALL of my impostor syndrome alarms.

I will never be technical enough to give a talk, or WHO AM I to say I'm very technical.

I'd say I'm mostly technical. My talk pitch was about Dashboard Affirmational.

The only Dashboard you'll need.

The goal of my talk was to weave a story about making sure you believe in yourself to keep going. The Dashboard would be turned from a silly website project into a full-blown Laravel App.

When you log in, you will see a picture of yourself (from your webcam) and simple buttons labeled 1-10.

And a simple question in front of you.

Are you Proud of the Person pictured here?

A simple question, based on how you answered 1 through 10. It would give you a trend chart to show off your PERSONAL NPS ( Net Promoter Score).
